Terms and Conditions

These terms explain accounts, test participation, fees, and privacy on Bidwise. Read them before creating an account or entering an auction.

1. Current service: test participation

The current bidding service uses mock payments. No money is collected, no real-money entry is created, and test results do not create a right to a physical product, cash, delivery, or a refund. Test auctions and receipts are labelled accordingly. Real payments require a separately qualified payment service and updated auction terms.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 to create an account or participate in a test auction. Use a phone number you control with a supported +267 or +251 country code. A one-time code verifies control of that number; it does not verify your legal identity or age. Do not share verification codes or use another person’s account. Your terms acceptance, language, and timestamp are recorded.

3. Lowest unique bids

The test winner is the participant who chose the lowest eligible BWP amount chosen by exactly one participant. Repeated entries from that same participant do not add another competing participant. An amount chosen by two or more participants is not unique. Closed test auctions freeze a result; winning codes and amounts may be published after closing. For entries submitted under terms version 2026-10-18.v3, eligible bid amounts and auction-specific participant aliases may be published after closing and used in historical analysis. A winner’s name may be reduced to an initial and their phone number masked except for the country code and final three digits. Older private entries are excluded from the published bid list and heatmap. Test results do not create real prize or claim rights.

4. Entry fees and winner-only amounts

An entry fee and a chosen bid amount are different obligations. Review the BWP entry fee before confirming. Entry fees are non-refundable once an entry is confirmed. In a qualified real auction, only the verified winner would pay the chosen amount separately. In this test service both amounts are simulated and no money is due.

5. Currency and repeated entries

New bids and entry fees use BWP only. Historical ETB receipts retain their original currency and are not included in the BWP result. You may place multiple entries in the same auction; each has its own chosen amount, fee, reference, and receipt. Retrying the same submission request does not create another entry.

6. Auction information and deadlines

Read the item description, currency, fee, amount limits, and closing time before entry. Product photos are illustrative unless the auction expressly identifies actual inventory. Auction status and server time determine whether entry is accepted. A stale screen or interrupted connection does not extend a deadline.

7. Confirmations, interruptions, and refunds

An entry exists only after the server confirms it and it appears in My bids. If a request is interrupted, check your history before starting another submission. Mock payments cannot debit or refund real money. Paid-auction cancellation, refund, fulfillment, and dispute rules must be disclosed before any future real payment is enabled.

8. Fair use and account safety

Do not automate abusive requests, guess codes, impersonate others, manipulate entries, or interfere with other users. Request limits apply to codes and entries. Keep your phone secure and sign out on shared devices. Account recovery or number changes must not bypass phone verification.

9. Data and notifications

We store your phone number, session information, versioned acceptance, entries, mock-payment records, and in-app notifications to operate the service. Bid amounts are encrypted at rest. While live, amounts are returned only to their owner. After closing, entries covered by the publication terms may appear anonymously in results and historical analysis. Optional in-app closing reminders and category/fee-based auction alerts can be switched off. Auction-result notifications are sent to participants. Community support is free, limited to one vote per member per idea, and does not guarantee stock or a launch date. Historical patterns do not predict winning amounts. Development OTP previews are limited to the requesting browser and are unavailable in production. No marketing consent is included in accepting these terms.

10. Questions and future changes

Keep your entry reference when raising a question with the operator through its published support channel. Material changes will receive a new terms version and require renewed acceptance before further participation. These test-service terms do not establish authorization for real-money operations in any jurisdiction.
